location of medals

[edit]

Would like to know the source of the information that his victoria cross medal is displayed at the light horse bar of saturday club Kolkata (calcutta), India. 121.246.5.236 (talk) 05:12, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted the statement that ‘The medal is displayed at the Light Horse Bar at The Saturday Club in Kolkata, India’ and replaced it with ‘The location of his medals is unknown’. In a footnote I have included ‘A Victoria Cross is displayed at the Light Horse Bar at The Saturday Club in Kolkata, India but this is not confirmed to be either a genuine Victoria Cross or that it was awarded to Johnston. Reference works such as the VC and GC Association three volume work The complete Victoria and George Cross published in 2013 and online sites such as see http://www.victoriacross.org.uk/ddwwloc.htm’ Anthony Staunton (talk) 03:13, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
