Would really like to bring this with in the standards, between Robert and his brother Pierre the two have done a lot to promote and improve equestrian sport in North America, their individual contributions should be recognized. It doesn't need to read as an advertisement any assistance in this direction will help. This is my first wiki.

It is for intents and purposes a place holder, a jump in point. I attempting to compile better biographical information in a comprehensive fashion, it is a daunting task that I figure won't happen all in one shot.

As for references, I'm not certain how one goes about referencing before a certain date for which little information exists.

As for wikifying, it is my intent to do so as I go along, once I figure it out.

As for more neutral, I'm not certain how one talks about achievements that way, I am not Robert Jolicoeur if that helps understand that I am not writing for advertising purposes.

Well, if there are newspaper articles or books that reference the information that is fine too. The materials don't need to be on the web, though that certainly helps with other editors verifying the content. Don't worry if you don't know the format for adding references, worst case you can just add them at the bottom (or right next to the fact they support, in parentheses) in plain text and someone can enter them in the right format. In my opinion, the language used is neutral enough. Some of the language is a little peacock-y, but as you say its hard to talk about accomplishments without using positive words. Hope that helps. Fair enough, perhaps if some one has an example of a lesser known individual, ie has a high public profile within a single community (In Robert's it's equestrian) but not an actor, singer, writer, or politician, that has well put together wiki that can be referenced as a boilerplate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Docbosh (talk • contribs) 20:31, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
