No longer living[edit]

I am the grand-nephew of Robert Orben. He passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023. In general I would like to update this page significantly to honor his legacy, but I was waiting to do so until he passed away to not run afoul of the biographies of living persons policy. (I recall the policy being stricter when I last checked years ago, like I literally couldn't make changes at all, seems that under this policy I could have been making some changes already but didn't think to check back for a policy update.) Regardless, at this point it seems the first step is to recognize that he is no longer a living person. Please help me with whatever steps are necessary to initiate that change. This doesn't specifically need the help of an administrator, any editor may assist with this, so I've converted it to a standard help request.
I am sorry for your loss.
We do need for verification purposes something indicating his passing, like a news story or obituary. 331dot (talk) 08:06, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Davidhoffert: If you prove his death with reliable sources (as it's defined in policy about living people), I can handle the rest for you. Are there any articles in media about his death? A09 (talk) 10:32, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@A09 We finally have a published obituary for me to cite: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/02/08/us/bob-orben-dead.html
Please let me know when I am able to make further edits to this page. Davidhoffert (talk) 13:03, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Davidhoffert: All seems good thanks to previous editors. I have added NYT source into Wikidata object. A09 (talk) 20:23, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
