Autobahn[edit]

Oxford English Dictionary lists the word as occurring in English from 1934, with a NY Times, citation, and for etymology that it comes from the German (no surprise there) word of 1933 which comes from "auto" and "bahn". I suppose the German equivalent of OED would tell us whether or not Otzen is generally credited with the word. PamD 08:53, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
