The illustration labelled (Motor Gun Boat of the type used by the 8th MGB Flotilla) is wrong. The picture shows a Fairmile 'C' class MGB. The 8th never used them. The boats used by the 8th were 71'9" BPB Class. Indeed, in his book "We Fought Them In Gunboats" Hich describes his input into the development of this class. A very good set of illustrations can be found under MGB-81 which was one of his flotilla. She has now been 'Saved for the nation' along side MTB102. An example of the 6th flotillasurvived until quite recently but was destroyed by vandals. Terry Westwood (talk) 03:35, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
