Law school

[edit]

A recent edit to the page describes him as having his law degree from Yale Law School, but the first source says that his degree is from Southwestern Law School. I changed the page to reflect the source. If anyone has a source that says differently, feel free to revert my edit. -Ethereal Static (talk) 03:53, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Added another source to confirm Southwestern Law School. It looks like Southwestern is correct. - Ethereal Static (talk) 02:18, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Years as California District Attorney may be incorrect

[edit]

I think Philbosian's term as DA ran from 1982-1984, not 1981-1984 as the article says. According to this [1], the selection of Philbosian to replace John Van de Kamp as DA was made in December 1982. I think the LA DA's official page [2] is incorrect also. If you read the text, it says "Robert H. Philibosian 1981 - 1984 Robert Philibosian was picked to replace John Van de Kamp after his election as state attorney general in 1982." If it was 1982, the range wouldn't be 1981 - 1984. That's inconsistent - the 1981 there may also be wrong. This article [3] says "there was much speculation as to whom the Board of Supervisors might select to serve the last two years of Van de Kamp’s term as district attorney". A two year term supports the date range 1982-1984. This also affects the John Van de Kamp article, as that one says he served until July 1, 1981, before becoming Attorney General on Jan. 3, 1983. But, that's a big gap, suggesting the end date as DA should instead be some time in December 1982. This says Van de Kamp was DA in 1982. [4] So, all I need is the exact date and I can change both I'm still looking. Timtempleton (talk) 00:07, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
