Coat of arms[edit]

The arms are known to be as depicted from excellent sources, as given for two (ie 100%) of his descendant families (giving a double and independent confirmation), Percy and Cary, with images of both surviving. Debrett's Peerage, 1968, p.438, Viscount Falkland (Cary) blazons the ermine arms as visible in surviving examples of the Cary arms (see e.g. File:Memorial to Lucius Carey, 2nd Viscount Falkland, Church of St Michael & All Angels, Great Tew.JPG), and the same arms are shown in the highly notable stained glass window in the chapel of Petworth House, as illustrated in the article.Lobsterthermidor (talk) 14:12, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
