Music
[edit]The current article contains the following irritating information on the new music pieces composed for series 3:
"In addition to Clannad's music, used extensively in the series, there is also additional music composed for Series Three (artist/s not known) which does not feature on this album."
As far as I'm informed, also this additional music was composed by Clannad — although it has not been released in any form yet. Some time ago, the website www.clannad.ie featured appropriate information, saying that the band would be in search of the master tapes. --JSE 22:59, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
- This section has now been clarified with direct quote and citation from the band's web site. -- Mecandes 10:58, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- "Clannad: Live in Concert" CD liner notes say the track "Action" is by J.Delaney. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.111.53.118 (talk) 04:03, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Clannad Legend album cover.jpg
[edit]Image:Clannad Legend album cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 18:41, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Eternal youth
[edit]"most of the actors and actresses have aged greatly since the series was first screened" - any information on which ones have managed to avoid this? :) Jahrsper (talk) 00:25, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Well, in a sense Robert Addie has. He passed away in 2003. Avmarle (talk) 12:38, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Robin Hood in US
[edit]I placed a citation request tag on the intro's parenthetical aside claiming that the show was "retitled Robin Hood in the United States" because this doesn't appear to have happened. I subscribed to Showtime (the original US venue) and caught the final series (with Jason Connery instead of Michael Praed) and the title was indeed Robin of Sherwood. Later, my regional edition of TV Guide magazine listed it, still under that title, on a PBS station outside my locality. Hence, I request a source for this alleged American retitling. --Tbrittreid (talk) 22:55, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- User:Tbrittreid's memory is spot on. Brooks and Marsh have no reference to any series titled Robin Hood. The Adventures of Robin Hood (TV series)|The Adventures of Robin Hood (with Richard Greene) was shown with that title on CBS 1955–1958. Doug butler (talk) 09:07, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
I found an issue of New York magazine online with TV listings for January 21st, 1991. This listing features Showtime showing a program called Robin Hood: The Seven Poor Knights From Acre.
Now, there was a Robin of Sherwood episode titled "The Seven Poor Knights From Acre". Maybe this means Robin of Sherwood was re-titled Robin Hood in some regions of the US? 188.141.25.160 (talk) 23:01, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
Also, see this New York Times article from January. 13, 1986, which refers to Robin of Sherwood as Robin Hood:
"The British tend to take such crucial adjustments a bit more seriously, at least as far as a weekly series called Robin Hood is concerned. Carried here on the pay-cable service Showtime, the program, made by Britain's Goldcrest Films and TV Ltd., starred Michael Praed in the title role for its first two seasons."

Robin - Much relations
[edit]In the Overview section it says: "In the opening story, Robin Hood and the Sorcerer, Robin and his half-brother Much fall foul of the Sheriff's henchman"
But under The Merry men it says: "Born the son of Anglo-Saxon nobleman Ailric of Loxley, Robin was raised by his uncle, the local miller"
If the latter is correct. that makes Robin and Much first cousins. If it's the former, that must mean Robin and Much have the same mother. So which is it?
StuZealand (talk) 02:59, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- The latter is correct. I removed half-brother from the text. Gollem (talk) 15:06, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
