Rock/Pop History course
[edit]Burris is also notable for being the first teacher to offer a course at the high school level in the history of rock/pop music. In the fall of 1982, he taught the first offering of this course. [edit]This article is NOT a good nomination for speedy deletion for the following primary reason: This is not an article about a band per se, it is an article about a notable educator who established the first ensemble to perform Rock and Pop music at the high school level in the United States.
