Creation
[edit]This preliminary article has been created after Rodger's death, mostly based on the Baltimore Sun obituary of October 15, as well as various memories and comments circulating by e-mail among those who knew him at MIT (as I did, slightly) and those who have worked with him since, upon the shock of his loss. I can testify that at MIT he was responsible for much truly beautiful hand-laid HO-gauge trackwork on the MIT model railroad club layout in the old Rad Lab building. I hope others who had more opportunity to know and work with him will contribute shortly, as he was truly a very remarkable and admirable character in the greater HST saga; who deserves high praise and thanks from all who treasure what HST has accomplished.
