Resignation of John Bathersby and appointment of an Apostolic Administrator[edit]

There appears to be an edit war between myself and Gerixau over details surrounding the resignation of John Bathersby and appointment of an Apostolic Administrator, Bishop Geoffrey Hylton Jarrett as his replacement.

On 13/11, Gerixau claimed that Bathersby has resigned and Jarrett appointed, No citations were provided. I went searching for citations and on not being able to find any, reverted on 13/11.
On 14/11 Gerixau reinstated his claims, and I restored the a modified version 15/11 that left Gerixau's claims and called for a missing citation.
On 18/11 Gerixau again made his claims, removing the missing citation, and again the claims were not referenced. A little later, I restored to my modified version of 15/11.

Clearly this edit war is now at the stage of the three-revert rule. Accordingly, I have moved discussion here with Gerixau, before requesting comment from an experienced editor or administrator. Jherschel (talk) 09:23, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
