Christianised by 439[edit]

The statement is made, on the authority of an article in the Catholic Encyclopedia, that Corsica was "Christianised by 439". There is no specific authority for the statement in the CathEncyc, and it has all the earmarks of POV boasting. How could anyone know that fact in 439? It is a gross overgeneralization of the apparent fact that there were several bishops in the island by that date. It begs the question as to what "Christianized" means.
