A year ago I contacted wikipedia about this article. The characterization of my news career is inaccurate in so much as it obscures the HALF of that career that took place in Washington D. C.. I held a White House press pass at the age of 24. I was th regular reporter at the capitol's city hall known as the District Building. From time to time I covered events on Capitol Hill and the Rose Garden. I won my Emmy in WASHINGTON D.C.. Later I worked for the Voice of America in D.C.. I lived there for eleven years, in Baltimore for three. This article diminishes a youthful career of which I am proud. In the name of the kind of accuracy I was taught to strive for at Columbia University's school of journalism I am pleading with you folks to do the research and simply report the facts. I am no super star but there are people who look me up around the world. Don't they deserve accurate information. THANK YOU Ron Canada

Thank you to whomever edited this article as it appears 3/28/20. The page is now almost totally accurate. There is one aspect that is totally erroneous however. I have never been in the city of Corpus Christi Texas. Love Austin, San Antonio, Eagle Pass and Port Arthur. HOWEVER, once and for all, I was born on the island of MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY, six blocks or so south of the George Washington bridge. I grew up in Harlem just two blocks north (exactly) of the Apollo Theatre. I graduated from DeWitt Clinton high school in the Bronx in the 1966 class with NBA great Nate Archibald. I am not from Liberia, Baltimore, Jamaica, or Texas. All of these inaccuracies have been inserted on this page in the past. I am in all respects a Native New Yorker. I would appreciate any future editors of this article refraining from altering that fact.

                                                                                             Thank You,
RON CANADA — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:2000:1303:D23D:5897:51E5:34EA:F84E (talk) 23:07, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
