Another person by the same name

[edit]

I think there could/should be a disambig page, which would explain that there was also Ronald W. Smith, aka Ron Smith. He was a hairdresser at Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and died in 1995. A Deep Space Nine season premiere, "The Way of the Warrior", was dedicated to him and another man who died that year before the episode was completed.

Picture

[edit]

picture question-- does the picture need to be one of the artist, or could it be an example of his artwork? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Topnotchtosh (talkcontribs) 16:20, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The picture for the infobox has to be of the person in question. It is possible to upload an example of their work for the main body of the article as it helps visual demonstrate their style (e.g. Brian Bolland - an image gallery was removed as it wasn't fair use but the Hellstrom image there is being used in the main article so it works out well there). Trial

[edit]

I am aware of the ongoing court case [1] but feel it is best to wait and see what the verdict so we can produce a balanced overview of this. (with WP:BLP in mind). (Emperor (talk) 13:18, 10 June 2009 (UTC))[reply]

I'm relieved to be able to report that he's been acquitted. --Nicknack009 (talk) 09:36, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed. I don't feel this is worth mentioning as it stands. (Emperor (talk) 20:36, 13 June 2009 (UTC))[reply]

It'd be interesting to know what kind of relationship the two of you have with Ron Smith, and the publishing world. You've basically conspired to cover up a notable, negative news story about this man. Judging by his profile page Emperor has a contract with Dennis Publishing and is a regular fixture in British magazines, Nicknack009 appears to have a number of quasi-admin privileges on Wikipedia and is presumably quite high-up in Wikipedia's British comics clique. You probably despise The Sun but their story doesn't appear to be fabricated. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 14:43, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
