There are a lot more of Rongbuk glaciers contributing. Beneath the East Rongbuk Glacier and the Main Rongbuk Glacier also are a West Rongbuk Glacier contributing ice from the flanks of Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang, and a Far East Rongbuk Glacier, coming down from the outer slopes of the mountains shutting the Kharta Valley to the west. The Rongbuk Glacier System in whole is one of the very largest all over the world besides the Antarctica and Greenland.
