Lead[edit]

  • It would help to clarify the fact that Henry is a professional association football player, particulary to help seeking clarification to what type it is

  • "Henry was part of the Stevenage side that won the FA Trophy in the first ever competitive final at Wembley Stadium in May 2007; becoming the first ever player" - try to avoid using the same wording of "first ever" twice in the same sentence
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "although was appointed as an academy coach at the club two months later." - although is considered editoralising per MOS:EDITORIAL
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Early career[edit]

  • "and started two more matches during the loan spell." - not stated by the BBC Sport attached to it. The Soccerbase 2002/2003 source does though so that will have to be replaced accordingly.
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "He played twelve matches during his time there," - not confirmed by the FAI source; use another source in the article to verify this information
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "although was released by manager Roddy Collins due to financial problems at the club." - also the same citation does not mention Collins released him due to financial trouble; another source is required to verify this
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stevenage[edit]

  • "Henry had started the campaign in an unfamiliar central midfield role, but reverted to full-back " - better and more neutral reverting to the role of a
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "However, in January of the same season," - better and more neutral In January of that season,
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "At the end of the season, Henry signed a new two-year contract with the Hertfordshire club." - unverified, requires a reliable source to cite it
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • " At the Football Conference's Annual Presentation Dinner, he was named in the Conference Premier Team of the Year, alongside fellow Stevenage defenders Scott Laird and Mark Roberts." - The Non-League Paper source does not mention this information but the "Ronnie 469: A history of our record breaking captain" from Stevenage F.C. Does. I suggest citation bundling.
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Henry made his 250th appearance in all competitions for Stevenage during the club's 0–0 draw at home to Torquay United," - the BBC Sport citation does not mention it was Henry's 250th match for Stevenage. However, the "Henry has been a marvellous servant to Boro – Westley" from The Comet does. I suggest citation bundling
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "He went on to make 40 appearances during the campaign," - the Soccerbase 2011/2012 reference should be used to verify this information in the prose
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Luton Town[edit]

  • "He played in 43 games during the 2012–13 campaign," - use the generalised Soccerway source in the article to verify it in the prose
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Henry captained Luton to the Conference Premier title," - Henry is not mentioned by name by Luton on Sunday. Another source is needed
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Return to Stevenage[edit]

  • "his appearance in the club's 1–1 away draw with Morecambe" - there is no mention of the 1-1 away draw with Morecambe; another citation is required
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • There is a similar issue about their game against Swindon Town being played at Broadhall Way
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Henry was appointed Youth Development Phase Coach in Stevenage's academy " - of
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "at Stevenage spanning nearly 15 years." - lasting almost 15 years.
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

International career[edit]

  • There is no mention in the BBC Sport source that the England C vs Finland C match took place in Helsinki
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Style of play[edit]

  • "where he has been used for the majority of his career.[15][14][10]" - all references should be in numerical order
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Towards the end of his second spell at Stevenage, as well as upon signing for Billericay Town," - more concise and at Billericay Town,
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • "as well as during his time at Luton and Billericay.[76][14]" - same issue as above
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Personal life[edit]

  • "He is the grandson of former Tottenham Hotspur defender Ron Henry,[13][10][80]" - same problem as mentioned in the previous two points
checkY and moved 'Personal life' section to 'Early life' per MOS. SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • The same sentence should end with a full stop and not a comma
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • " and says that his grandfather has been a "huge inspiration" to him throughout his career." - better . Henry has said his grandather was greatly infulential to him throughout his career.
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Career statistics[edit]

  • The notes located at the bottom of the table require a reference as seen in mulitple GA articles.
checkY These are located in the references in the 'season' section of the career statistics table. SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

  • Reference 11 is dead but there is a replacement link [1]; the source will also need to include the author who wrote it
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Reference 23 is dead but can be archived via [2]
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • References 74 and 81 require archiving because the link to the respective articles are dead
checkY SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Overall most of the issues concern the fact that some of the information is incorrectly references, some of the sources are dead but can be archived, and some grammar issues in the prose. Will put on hold. MWright96 (talk) 12:44, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, since the nominator is primarly inactive and unable to correct the remaining issues, I have taken the decision to fail this nomination. The article itself has potential to attain GA status and can be re-nominated in the future. MWright96 (talk) 17:39, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks once more for reviewing this. Have addressed all of the above so shall renominate. SBFCEdit (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
