BELARUS[edit]

Dear editor, unfortunately, I have no profile in English wiki yet, I am a user in Belarusian one (http://be-x-old.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A3%D0%B4%D0%B7%D0%B5%D0%BB%D1%8C%D0%BD%D1%96%D0%BA:Rasa). I definitely disagree with you, concerning the name of the place, where I live. Belarus did not appear in 1990-ies, as you’ve pointed. This is rather old word for the territory. And this term is used in Jewish communities as well. Look http://www.jewishgen.org/Belarus/ for example. At the end, I’d like to make you know, that White Russia is offensive term for us. Pilgrimage 2020 controversy[edit]

Due to an anti-Covid-19 travel ban for foreigners there is (yet another) controversy around this pilgrimage to Uman..... Yesterday (on September 14) hundreds of Hasidim unsuccessfully tried to enter Ukraine from Belarus and they are apparently stuck on the Belarus side of the border. (also) on September 4, it became known that COVID-19 coronavirus disease was diagnosed in six Hasidic pilgrims who arrived in Uman before the ban on the entry of foreigners into Ukraine.
