Wylie vs. Wyllie

[edit]

I've been checking out refs, and it seems extremely unclear what his actual official surname was. Wylie and Wyllie seem to appear in equal proportion, with good refs for each. We'd need to get hold of something from the horse's mouth to be sure. -- Jack of Oz [Talk] 03:29, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A pointer to his "official name" (as a recording artist at least) is typing "Ross D. Wyllie record" into google images, which displays "Ross D. Wyllie" on the various record labels.--Melburnian (talk) 03:53, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

D for ...?

[edit]

JackofOz makes a good point about his last name. I've worked on this article for awhile and have seen lots of otherwise reliable sources give "Wylie" or other misspellings of his last name. I've gone for his APRA registered name (ref supplied in article).

However, I have no idea what the D stands for in his middle name. May be its like the S in Harry S. Truman?shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 04:12, 21 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
