Notability[edit]

We can come at this from several angles.

  • The Taxpayer Angle This article, though it is a relatively short national road, is included in a taxpayer funded national highway system. This, while not a guarantee of notability, is an indication of it.
  • Importance to connections of roads, (build the web) This road is an important connection to Route 3, an important connection between Bolivia and the city of Cuzco, among other things. it does not have its own article, but, if not notable, it is certainly more notable than this road, with Spanish language newspapers easily available
  • Anglocentrism

Look at Massachusetts Route 119 Only serves small towns. Under 50 miles. But most importantly, the only citation this road has is a map. A paper map, for that matter. Not even a government database. English Wikipedia is littered with such articles, about small country roads with no purpose, outmatched by freeways, but are state highways. If this article is to be deleted, we need to start discussions about lots of Anglosphere articles that are only derived from maps. Wikipedia is an encyclo-pedia, not an anglo-pedia.

  • I have argued my opinion. However, these arguments might not be valid, and as I was the creator of this article, I am biased. If you do want to delete or move this page, here are some possibilities. Be sure to reflect on WP:IAR before doing any of these.
  • Delete

This is the simplest one. This information may truly not be notable. If so, the information may be scrubbed from the encyclopedia entirely.

  • Merge

While it may be taboo to merge multiple national highways, if notability policy necessitates doing such, then it is acceptable.

  • List

Of all of these, I saved the best for last. A list article such as List of minor highways in Bolivia would allow the information to stay on the encyclopedia in a conventional format, and would still allow the connections of articles to function.

  • I apologize if I may have come off harsh. Cheers

I will not be involving myself in this discussion anymore, except to find references. Mr. Holup (talk) 19:29, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
