Five Navy Crosses

[edit]

"first person in the United States Navy" to receive five Navy Crosses, isn't he the first and only one?----ProdigySportsman 04:04, 18 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

That is true. Davenport was the first and is the only Navy personnel to be awarded 5 Navy Crosses. C. Warren Gruenig, son in law. Jan. 11, 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.181.65.199 (talk) 17:51, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

U.S. military decorations

[edit]

I changed the width of the ribbon to be 106 so the the star devices are visible on the Navy Cross. Probably needs to be converted from a vertical list into the table like Chesty_Puller#Awards_and_honors. — MrDolomite • Talk 04:02, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Art Taylor Relieved From Command

[1]100.11.145.185 (talk) 05:40, 29 August 2015 (UTC) The first paragraph quotes Art Taylor regarding Admiral English directing Taylor superior Stoney Roper, to relieve Taylor from command. ..."Captain Roper, God bless him, really carried the torch for me in a series of messages back and forth with Admiral English. Just two days before Haddock was to sail he was happy to tell me I would keep my command. 100.11.145.185 (talk) 05:40, 29 August 2015 (UTC)L A Grassini100.11.145.185 (talk) 05:40, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
