Dumping fuel oil
Why would they be dumping fuel oil? Are you sure you don't mean sludge or something?

- The statement concerning a penalty of 500 dollars for non attendance at the drill is incorrect. The regulations for informing the passengers concerning the life vest etc are contained in SOLAS . These regulations were agreed by the contracting governments of the International Maritime Organization. The IMO is a maritime regulatory body. It does not have the power nor desire to issue financial penalties to organizations or individuals. You should check your sources for this statement.
- The Reg is SOLAS 18 Emergency Training and Drills and for passenger drills
- 3.2 On a ship engaged on an international voyage which is not a short international voyage, musters of passengers shall take place within 24 hours after their embarkation. Passengers shall be instructed in the use of the life-jacket and the actions to take in a emergency.
- I also think if you read RCCL´s Guest Vacation Policy it does not mention debarkation for non attendance at the drill so I think you will find the second part is incorrect.
- You might also check your source about photo recognition systems under security, I believe this is currently incorrect statement.
- This was what they pled guilty to quote a fleet-wide conspiracy to discharge harmful quantities of oil and hazardous chemicals into United States waters, making false statements to the Coast Guard, and obstruction of justice. unquote

Human Rights
As one of thousands of third world individuals who worked for Royal Caribbean and witnessed severe human and workers rights abuses onboard their ships, I recommend that additional information be added on human rights transgressions aboard their ships. Examples might include the multi-million class action suit brought against RCI for not paying overtime, the contraventions of martitime safety laws created by staff working continuous shifts longer than 8 hours, routine sexual abuse of female employees by shipboard management and the complete absence of fair disciplinary procedures on board these ships. I realise that the information here is anecdotal, but an article on the internet titled 'Sweatships' covers all of the bases. see: irr.org.uk

RCI Fan.com
It was suggested that I submit this link to the discussion page, so that those who contribute to editing it can come to some general agreement as to if it should be included in the page or now.
I do personally run it. It has free message forums, chat, a blog, and other features for users. I think it would be very topical to add that in the link section as an unofficial site focused on Royal Caribbean. —Preceding unsigned comment added by NWLB (talk • contribs) 00:31, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- I got a response back from one editor of the page, who thought adding my site might have merit. He suggested asking other page editors to consider the site and see if a link can/should be added. I'm noticing that there is already a link to a site described as an "independent" resource on RCI, and with due respect to that sites owner, it is a fraction of the resource and project I am working on myself. The community is growing in activity, provides information not seen elsewhere on the internet. Not that it is the intent of Wikipedia to become a large-scale links page, but I would argue RoyalCaribbeanFan.com warrants a link given established standards already on display. I have a picture of the RCI headquarters during daytime
This is to warn all editors that I am going to be replacing User:Tysto's nighttime photo of the RCI headquarters with a daytime photo I recently took, within a week. The reason is that daytime photos are generally preferred under Wikipedia policy because they bring out more visible detail. If anyone has any objections, please raise them now. Why American ?
Why is it called an American company ? It was started by Norwegian companies and Norwegians still have ownership in it. And it is on the Oslo stock echange in Norway. I think it's a bit wrong to so bluntly call it American. Mortyman (talk) 22:52, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
- My best guess is it's listed here as American because its corporate headquarters are in the United States; and according to their corporate history page, it began trading on the New York exchange in 1993 but wasn't approved for trading on the Oslo stock exchange until 1997.

Onboard Security
Is this section really necessary? There is absolutely no information here which is specific to RCI; it looks like it was put in to make it seem like RCI ships are safe and secure, and someone later changed it slightly to make it less like an advert. - I agree - it's pretty generic stuff. If a source can be found, then mention of that material would be appropriate to the Cruise ship article, and likely help improve that article ... but not needed on the articles about the individual cruise lines. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 20:31, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Multiple ship images
I don't want to get into an edit war here, but I feel the duplicate ship images that Angelgreat has been adding add way to much clutter to the page. When we have ship classes with multiple almost identical ships, multiple shots of each ship aren't needed. A variety of images of the various ships in each class is sufficient to give the reader an understanding up what the class looks like without being redundant. While I appreciate the WP:BOLD bold edit to add two images for each ship, WP:BRD says that the next step after a bold edit is reverted is to discuss the issue, not to revert your edit being reverted. --Ahecht (TALK

- I'm really sorry Ahecht, It's not just the images, but I don't know what side of the cruise ship to show. And you reverted my bow edits of the ships's bow photos I added or replace, so I thought adding both sides will calm things down. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. - FWIW, I like the article with the dual images of most ships. I'll briefly explain why. The conventional encyclopedic image of a ship is a three quarter view looking from ahead of the ship. If we were to use such images for all of the ships in this article, the images would look very repetitive. However, if we were to depict some of the ships as a three quarter view looking from behind the ship, some readers might be inclined to change them to the conventional image (I've seen that happen in at least one other article about a cruise line). RC ships have very distinctive stern designs, which are therefore worth depicting in this article. So having both types of image for each ship in this article (where such images are available) is a good compromise, and I don't think two images per ship is unduly excessive. The columns are too wide
The columns are too wide and it doesn't fit the page, we need to reduce the space or it will look messy. Please reduce the columns, it's going to not fit.
