The ONS show Ynysmaerdy (here) to be in Talbot Green. I assume that research showing Ynysmaerdy to be in Llantrisant relates to the part of Ynysmaerdy in which the Llantrisant Business Park is based - to the east of the Ely Valley Road (as here). If there are any sources showing the Royal Glam to be in Llantrisant ward please can they be noted here? Daicaregos (talk) 20:30, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, basically what I found was that on the trust's website [1] and on literature such as letters for appointments etc. the hospital's stated address is:
Royal Glamorgan Hospital
Ynysmaerdy
Llantrisant
Rhondda Cynon Taf
CF72 8XR
The evidence you have presented though, is also very compelling.
I have also found that the website [2] for the new Premier Inn hotel uses Llantrisant as the address, yet the address for the new Bowel Screening Wales office [3] is a mystery to anyone... Pontyclun?
And one last discovery, Technology in Motion from Össur, which is next door to the hospital: located in the Rhodfa Marics Medi Science Campus; state Llantrisant on their website [4]
Llantrisant seems to be used generally as a point of reference: see Leekes; Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Llantrisant; Travis Perkins; Matalan; Halfords; Llantrisant Cars; and Llantrisant Folk Club. As far as the Royal Mail is concerned Llantrisant is not the Royal Glam's correct address see here. It seems that for many people Talbot Green does not exist see here. We should be consistent though - if we are using Talbot Green ward for statistics etc., anything within the ward should be considered to be in Talbot Green.
