Commercial basis of rivalry?
[edit]Someone (with more knowledge than I) should inform the reader why the commercial rivalry between these two railroad companies took the form it did. Why did they not form a joint venture to run the spur up the Royal Gorge? Was it a winner-takes-all situation, and if so, why? Was there something other than commercial logic at play, such as manly pride? --Matt Whyndham (talk) 15:23, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
A map showing the location (and elevations) would be helpful.Kam2064 (talk) 21:40, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
