Only surviving Kursaal[edit]

The article claims that this is the only surviving Kursaal in Britain, however Southend-on-Sea in Essex, has a Kursaal, which is still called a Kursaal, and still has the functions feature (all be it with a period of disuse for about 12 years in the 80s and 90s). Worthing has a surviving Kursaal building too, though no longer so named. It was opened in 1911, but because of anti-German feeling was renamed The Dome during the First World War. In 1921 it was converted into a cinema and is still in use as such. See [Dome Cinema, Worthing]. Bexhill also had a Kursaal, which was demolished in 1936.
