the tables match[edit]

was this the first table match? if not what was? if it is then the article should say.--142.162.207.58 12:58, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know, but it can't be noted in the article unless there is a source that says it is the first (see WP:V). TJ Spyke 18:04, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i had it wrote down and i had a source there but some cunt erased it —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.162.171.150 (talk) 00:57, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It was the first tag team table match - I started watching WWF at this PPV so I can't be sure but I assume the Dudleys had had singles table matches before this as they were notorious for it. Anyhow during the event JR&Jerry continuously refer to it as the first tag team tables match.Tony2Times (talk) 15:25, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I honestly don't see it as all that notable. Maybe I guess. TJ Spyke 01:43, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know whether it's notable or not, I was just presenting the facts. I know WWF are always big on billing any show as the "First Ever [insert minor stipulation change] match" but I woulda thought ECDub would have done this match first so I don't know how notable it is from a neutral POV.Tony2Times (talk) 10:53, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There was no point in ECW since tables (and everything else) was legal in every match anyways and had been used many times in matches. I put it in the notes section, the same way we mention the ladder match at WrestleMania X. TJ Spyke 17:47, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Heat matches?[edit]

I could be wrong, but I don't remember the episode of Sunday Night Heat prior to the 2000 Rumble having any matches. I lloked for the matches that are listed and I found this video of the episode: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x14qxv1_wwf-heat-01-23-2000_sport However, if this is that episode, then there's no way that it aired live right before the PPV, because hey're using the SmackDown! stage and Ovaltron, and the announcers keep saying that the PPV event will be in a few hours. Plus, this short report of Heat doesn't list any matches: http://www.pwwew.net/tv/heat/000123.htm I'm assuming that the matches that are listed in the article aired as part of an international broadcast of Heat, so I don't know if they should be included here. Any comments/decisions on this issue from more experienced editors for PPV articles would be useful. --Andresg770 (talk) 02:32, 21 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct. There were no live matches held in Madison Square Garden for Sunday Night Heat before the Royal Rumble. The live episode of Heat that aired prior to the PPV only included backstage interviews and live updates from MSG. The version that included matches was only for international broadcasts. Those matches were taped on Tuesday January 18th.OldSkool01 (talk) 16:52, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

AE Lede Date Link[edit]

Re-embedded AE link in date in lede, after this link was removed/reverted w/o explanation, and no discussion on Talk page. 130.45.24.168 (talk) 08:06, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. The link is not useful. While the event took place during the attitude era, I don't see why a link with the date helps. The Attitude Era just mention the event once. I don't see this edition on other articles, like films of the Silent Era or TV Series of the Golden Age. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 10:38, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
