Article title[edit]

Why has this article been reverted to English title. Body is not known by this name. Next somebody will be changing Real Madrid to Royal Madrid or Atletico Madrid to Athletic Madrid. When will this stupid discrimation against Spanish language stop.--86.135.160.97 20:22, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't a discrimination, don't forget this is the English Wikipedia. As the Wikipedia:Manual of Style states, the article title should be in English (see Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English)). But I don't like "Royal Snpanish Football Federation" neither. The most common term to refer to the RFEF in the English language press is "Spanish Football Federation"[1][2][3]), (but I've also found "Spanish Football Association"[4]). Therefore, from my POV this article should be renamed to Spanish Football Federation, like the Italian Football Federation. Best regards --surueña 10:41, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Done: moved from Real Federación Española de Fútbol to Spanish Football Federation. --surueña 07:50, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect date[edit]

The correct date when RFEF was founded is 1913, not 1909. The president of RFEF (Villar) distorts the date, because in 1909 has founded the first Footbal Federation in Spain (Federación Española de Clubs de Foot-Ball, Spanish Federation of Foot-Ball Clubs). Because many problems, FECF broke up and founded the RFEF. In the Spanish version of this article is more explained. --Hectordonis (talk) 16:04, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
