WIN
[edit]Okay this is enough now. The person who won the challenge and the lip sync should be royalblue, and the person who won the challenge, but lost the lip sync should be gold. Just because this is a different format, doesn't mean every color needs to be changed. The winner was always royalblue so please just stop changing the colors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 19:23, 26 August 2016 (UTC)

Episode 1
[edit]STOP putting that Tatianna was TOP2. She still won so leave it as it is. Second of all, in the episode summary for Episode 1 it literally says Ginger Minj and Alaska were in the top with Roxxxy Andrews and Tatianna so that means she was obviously HIGH and not LOW, if you don't know how to edit a Wikipedia page then don't edit one at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 20:12, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Starbucks6789 apologize for reverts before. After reading this, I agree with you. However, I think Tatianna's WIN should not be bold, so it creates an obvious difference with Roxxxy's WIN. And I adjusted and re-edited the templates below for the two WIN colors. And yes, with Ginger, some person keeps putting them LOW which is very irritating. Hope to work with you soon. Thanks for your contribution! MSMRHurricane (talk) 20:20, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
I'm sorry too if I sound so angry but I am because I just hate when people put wrong things on a page. It says they were the top 4 so why is Ginger in the bottom? Doesn't make sense and I don't know who that person is, all I saw was your username so I thought you were doing all of this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 20:24, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Starbucks6789 That's okay, I totally feel your pain! I'm annoyed too! Someone keeps putting Ginger LOW when she was clearly praised for her perfonmance. Anyway, yes, I agree with you completely, I just think Tatianna should be WIN without being bold, that's my opinion. :) MSMRHurricane (talk) 20:32, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
- @KthxEducation Can you stop adding in false information? Ginger was placed and praised highly for her performance in the first challenge. So I do not know why you are placing her LOW on the table. So stop, or you will be reported. Thanks. MSMRHurricane (talk) 20:36, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
- @MSMRHurricane While she was praised for having a great voice, her song choice was questioned, and her outfit wasn't very well received. She didn't really do bad, but she did seem to be on the lower end.I am sorry if i have done something wrong please do not report me.Thank yew. KthxEducation (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 20:53, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
It literally says in the summary that her and Alaska were in the top with Roxxxy and Tatianna being the winners.... So you just did that on your own. Did you even watch the episode or are you just making up what you want it to be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 20:55, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
Girl i did watch the episode, why would i write it down if i didn't.But Ru usually calls 7 people when there is a bottom 4 and i thought Ginger was the one that was LOW.Also i didn't start the thing about Ginger being LOW.I just don't read summaries.Forgive me guys, please (talk • contribs) —Preceding undated comment added 21:22, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Starbucks6789 Hey there! Please help me as there is another non-registered editor who keeps adding excessive information, and removing needed, pre-mature information for the next episode on the table. I think we agree on what the table and page should look like, so that is why I am asking for your help :) Thank you, MSMRHurricane (talk) 20:52, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
So what do you think the table should look like? @MSMRHurricane — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 20:55, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Starbucks6789 The table is great at the moment! Some people just keep deleting the next episode slot and keep changing Tatianna's WIN to bold as I have stated before why I think it shouldn't be bold and they keep adding excessive information in the notes for the color boxes, etc. MSMRHurricane (talk) 20:59, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
I think a lot of people keep deleting things they want and we keep changing them back so if they just want to waste time then I can waste time with them too. They don't even know what they are doing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 21:06, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Starbucks6789 True, however you must avoid getting into an edit war as action will eventually be taken place upon you and the other editor you are at "war" with. I think keeping the winner and runner-up boxes on the character table is fine to keep hidden, so is that really something to fight over? Until the winner has been announced, it's fine to keep hidden. If you think that it should be displayed regardless (same with the lip-syncing notes) then justify your edit to the other editors in the edit summary as you make the edit so they are aware of your reasons and you can have a discussion. MSMRHurricane (talk) 21:12, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
Lip-Sync Chart
[edit]Whoever is changing the lip sync chart to look like that piece of trash can stop. Leave the lip-sync chart how it was like every single other season. Like I said before, just because it is a different format, doesn't mean you need to change the whole page to look different than the others. If someone has something to say about this then say it to me now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 03:17, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Starbucks6789: First, You do not own this page and other users are welcome to edit it how they see fit. Second, just because it is the way it has been done, doesn't mean they still have to be done that way in the future. There is a redundant Winner column that doesn't need to be there, also it doesn't show how the eliminated player was eliminated. In the past, the bottom two did the lip-sync, and whoever lost that went home. However, I believe that table needs to also be changed. Third, watch your language. You can be banned for being offensive to other users. Lastly, Make sure you sign your comments at the end. Thank you, Chase (talk) 03:27, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
What's wrong with my language exactly? I'm not saying I own the page, I'm saying everyone is acting like just because this season has a new format, that they need to change everyone to look so different than the other pages. It doesn't. And the lip-sync table. looks just like it should. If you read underneath the lip-sync table it says exactly how the eliminated person went home. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 03:45, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Starbucks6789: This is a season with a new twist. It can't follow the same format as the other seasons, as you know because the winners column was added. So either remove that column or your arguments are invalid. Chase (talk) 03:47, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
Then delete the winners column if its so important to you to delete it. But I'm just saying it looks better on there so you know on that table who between the 2 queens who lip-synched, who won between the 2. And then the last column should be there explaining who the queen that won, eliminated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 03:49, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
- Also, you're not saying you own the page, but your edits are clearly saying that. Especially when you are reverting every helpful edit and attacking those users for trying to make this article better and calling their edits trash. Chase (talk) 03:47, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
Because it's making me mad when people keep changing things to look like it shouldn't. Even with the teams twist last season on all stars the lip sync table still looked the same as before, so that should not change with this season just because they lip sync for their legacy and not lip sync for their life. Can we be done now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 03:53, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
- I think those tables need to change as well.
This would look so much better:
Episode | Winner | Loser | Song | Winner Eliminated |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Roxxxy Andrews | Tatianna | "Shake It Off" (Taylor Swift) |
Coco Montrese |
- The contestant was eliminated after their first time in the bottom three.
And they arent Suppose to look like anything. Wikipedia is an interpretation of facts. Chase (talk) 03:58, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
I personally think it looks better with the winners column which makes it say who won the lip sync. And also are you the one posting the outcome for Episode 2? Because I've seen about 3 different ways that episode is going to go and the episode hasn't even aired yet, so if that is you please stop and wait for the episode to actually air. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 04:01, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
Also that chart doesn't show who went against who in the lip sync. It just shows who won and who lost. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 04:02, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
- This chart clearly shows that Tatianna and Roxxxy went against each other. How else would on win and one lose? You can tell who is making edits in the edit summary. So I would go check there and then you would know. Chase (talk) 04:05, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
Why don't you just put the 3 columns of the contestant vs. contestant, then the song, then the winner and loser and then who got eliminated. So then the people who agree with the different sides, have them all on 1 table. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 04:09, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
- Because I also do not like the vs. column. And making both tables into one with also expand on the redundancy that im trying to avoid. Chase (talk) 04:18, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
And I don't like the table you have. Literally every season has the vs. column so why all of a sudden because there is a new format everyone needs to change it. Last season had a vs. column and a different format, so why is this season all of a sudden excluded from that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 04:20, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
- Im suggesting they ALL need to change. I havent watched Rupauls drag race until last year and this is the first year ive editted the page, so as new people start to watch you'll get new opinions to make the article look better. Just because they are all the same way doesnt mean they should continue the way they have been and doesnt mean its the best way to do it. Chase (talk) 04:23, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
I think the vs. column should stay on all pages because that's what it has been and it looks perfectly fine as it is. Have a good rest of your night. Goodnight :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 04:26, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Starbucks6789 @Chase Just because you are new to the page and think you're ideas will make the page "look better" doesn't grant you the final decision. The lip-sync table is completely fine the way it is (with the vs.) as it is on every single other RuPaul's Drag Race page, and with saying that, the editors who came up with those tables should not be steamrolled by "new ideas" as their original ideas are completely fine, relevant and consistent. Yes, this is a public editing page, no one is the owner, however, if majority votes then that's it, that's how Wikipedia works, and the table is completely fine the way it is because of consistency to the other pages and the accuracy of the tables. Thank you, MSMRHurricane (talk) 07:27, 29 August 2016 (UTC)

Change the unbolded WIN in the contestant progress on Tatianna's name to TOP2. It will look so much nicer and someone decided to get into an edit war with me about it but it's so much less messy and it looks cleaner as TOP2. Thanks. Onlyheretoeditallstars2 (talk) 22:18, 1 September 2016 (UTC)

Recent changes.
[edit]@CCamp2013 Thank you for informing me about your revert on my recent additions, I actually agree with you yet I just find the added nominations for the bottom 3 into the lip-sync table unnecessary. So I thought I'd add a table in that section dedicated to that and see how it looked. Understandable and heard that it was excessive, so thanks again, we get a lot of edits without explanation on this page! If you think that it's fine adding in the nominations into the lip-sync table, then I will support your decision. I'm not looking to enter an edit war and tend to like discussing changes and come to a compromise with other editors. Cheers, MSMRHurricane (talk) 21:40, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you so much, I would much rather discuss and lose the battle, than argue about which is the best in the edit summary. That way it is clear who is for and who is against. I thought about doing a table like you did, but came to the conclusion that it was excessive as well, however, I did like the table and how it looked, just not for something this small. That's why I added it to the lip-sync table because it was small. Also, I don't really consider the choices as nominations either or really votes. I saw it as the lip-sync was trying to win so the person you pick will go home. Just like regular lip-syncs, you win so the person against you goes home and not you. So it would be like Coco lip-syncing against Coco in the first one (bad example), but Roxxxy was fighting for one of the Cocos and Tatianna fighting for the other. Please tag the other two in the discussion too, I would, but I'm on my phone at the moment. Chase (talk) 21:50, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
- @CCamp2013 Thank you for being so civil! :) I don't know, maybe we could create a table similar to the one I made but just with the nominations rather than the challenge and "Lip-sync for your Legacy" wins? I don't know, I honestly think having the queens name that the top 2 queens picked in the lip-sync table a little cramped, and it makes the table look excessive too (hence why I made a separate table). Maybe something like this...
Lip-sync nominations
[edit]The following table displays all of the contestants choices of who they chose to send home after being in the top two.
Contestant | Chosen Queen for Elimination (Episode no.) |
---|---|
Adore Delano | N/A |
Alaska | Tatianna (Episode 2) |
Alyssa Edwards | N/A |
Coco Montrese | N/A |
Detox | N/A |
Ginger Minj | N/A |
Katya | TBA (Episode 2) |
Roxxxy Andrews | Coco Montrese (Episode 1) |
Tatianna | Coco Montrese (Episode 1) |
Just a thought :) MSMRHurricane (talk) 22:48, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
@Oath2order and Starbucks6789: Thoughts?
I honestly think when new episodes are aired and the same person wins, that table will become cluttered. For example:
Contestant | Chosen Queen for Elimination (Episode no.) |
---|---|
Adore Delano | N/A |
Alaska | Tatianna (Episode 2) Ginger Minj (Episode 3) Phi Phi O'hara (Episode 4) |
Alyssa Edwards | N/A |
Coco Montrese | N/A |
Detox | N/A |
Ginger Minj | N/A |
Katya | TBA (Episode 2) |
Roxxxy Andrews | Coco Montrese (Episode 1) |
Tatianna | Coco Montrese (Episode 1) |
In Alaska's section for instance, it gets kinda confusing and cluttered.Chase (talk) 23:57, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
I think if you want a nomination table like that, I think you should go by episode. Like each episode has their own column. I think that table is going to get confusing if there's so many names by one person who they nominated. That's just my thought. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Starbucks6789 (talk • contribs) 00:44, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Starbucks6789: That is excactly my thought as well. Chase (talk) 00:46, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
Also in the second table, it has Alaska eliminating people in Episode 3 and 4, when it hasn't even aired yet. Did you just kind of put that on there or? Also I think this nominations table would be a good idea to have on this page. Starbucks6789 (talk) 07:53, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
- Completely agree. Just thought that table would show some kind of base to bounce ideas off on. But organizing by episode sounds better, and having the section being under the "Lip-sync" section would be best as it is relating to the lip-syncs themselves. MSMRHurricane (talk) 01:00, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
Yes, I agree that the table should be under the Lip-Sync section. Great idea :) Starbucks6789 (talk) 08:03. 3 September 2016 (UTC)
Lip-Syncers Pick to Eliminate
[edit]Contestant Episode 1 2 Adore Delano Alyssa Edwards Coco Montrese Detox Ginger Minj Phi Phi O'hara Alaska Tatianna Katya TBA Roxxxy Andrews Coco Tatianna Coco
Something along these lines? Chase (talk) 01:15, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
Contestant 1 2 3 Alaska - Tatianna Alyssa Edwards - - Detox - - Ginger Minj - - Katya - TBA Phi Phi O'hara - - Roxxxy Andrews Coco - Tatianna Coco - Eliminated Coco Montrese - Eliminated Adore Delano - Quit
- I like this one slightly better, (if we go this route. I still prefer it in the lip-sync table, it makes it much easier. Chase (talk) 01:27, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
I think if we do this table that we should still have the lip-sync table too. And if we do this table, should we at least have the same colors as the elimination table? Just an opinion. And also Adore Delano goes above Coco Montrese, not below. Starbucks6789 (talk) 08:34, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
- These are just examples, anything final will obviously be changed to reflect the correct information. But what some user wanted, including myself, was just a mention in the lip-sync table like this:
Episode Contestants Song Winner Eliminated 1 Roxxxy Andrews
(Coco)vs. Tatianna
(Coco)"Shake It Off"
(Taylor Swift)Roxxxy Andrews Coco Montrese 2 Alaska
(Tatianna)vs. Katya
(TBA)"Le Freak (Freak Out)"
(Chic)Alaska Tatianna
- The contestant was eliminated after their first time in the bottom three.
Chase (talk) 02:03, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
Either way is fine with me because they both have who the 2 winning queens decided to eliminate.Starbucks6789 (talk) 09:18, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
Episode | Contestants (Chosen Queens for Elimination) |
Song | Winner | Eliminated | ||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Roxxxy Andrews (Coco) |
vs. | Tatianna (Coco) |
"Shake It Off" (Taylor Swift) |
Roxxxy Andrews | Coco Montrese |
2 | Alaska (Tatianna) |
vs. | Katya (TBA) |
"Le Freak (Freak Out)" (Chic) |
Alaska | Tatianna |
- The contestant was eliminated after their first time in the bottom three.
- This method I'm at peace with now, haha. However, I've made a few modifications. MSMRHurricane (talk) 02:29, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
- I would change the wording for the parenthesis, to something like "Queen chosen for Elimination" or "Pick for elimination". Chase (talk) 02:34, 4 September 2016 (UTC)

[edit]This is relevant, it's statistics about the show Oath2order (talk) 18:56, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Oath2order: "Dude, seriously? It's "read the article that's your source". It's not original work, it's statistics from previous seasons".
- "Read the article that's your source" is the definition of original work, also violates Academic use, which states wikipedia shouldn't be used as a source. Chase (talk) 19:02, 4 September 2016 (UTC)

The notes section has been on every single season so why now is it irrelevant? And yeah Roxxxy Andrews did win the challenge twice the first episode, so that should be on there. That's just my opinion since you pretty much asked for my opinion. Starbucks6789 (talk) 02:12, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Starbucks6789: I actually like it on there as well, but it doesn't comply with Wikipedia guidelines. So our opinions really do not matter. I was mostly asking your opinion on the guidelines, rather than the content itself. Chase (talk) 19:16, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
- Also it does not matter if it has been on here for every article. That has no relevance to this article, but they need to all be removed. That just means no one has been paying attention to guidelines or no one has been on Wikipedia long enough to know about them, until someone comes and informs people. Contestants
[edit]Shouldn't all the contestants real names be at the bottom of the page rather than right underneath the contestants table? It's like that everywhere else. Just wondering in case there's a specific reason that it's there rather than at the bottom. Starbucks6789 (talk) 04:29, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Starbucks6789: Usually on articles, the notes section is underneath the table it is referring to for better reference. So if a casual reader was skimming across the page without knowledge of what [a] stood for or did, they could see it right under the table, other than on the bottom of the page where many casual readers might not see it. Chase (talk) 22:34, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
But why is every other season have the real names of the contestants at the bottom of the page, but this one is right underneath? Starbucks6789 (talk) 06:20, 4 September 2016 (UTC)

Colors
[edit]@Diogowerner: why change colors on the winning section of the progress table Oath2order (talk) 05:27, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
@Oath2order: On the colors of the winners of All Stars season 2 and bottoms of season 1 (that didnt lipsync), the yellow is too much out of the color palette and could be replaced by better colors. I tried green now, but switched with the high color. I changed it before to mid tones of blue and red cause it makes more sense. I rather keep the same blue in hign that has been used for all seasons.
Contestant Progress Colors
[edit]I think the color for the loser of the lip sync should be green as opposed to yellow, because yellow comes across as a negative color, as if that queen was in the bottom. I just think it would make more sense and would be more pleasing to the eye. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Greggy656 (talk • contribs) 19:23, 9 September 2016 (UTC)

Colour
[edit]Per MOS:CONTRAST, the darker blue (for the "WIN") should not have a black text colour; it should be changed to a white, to become more visually acceptable to Wikipedia's manual of style. livelikemusic talk! 00:12, 11 September 2016 (UTC)
The white text is awful, that's why everyone keeps changing it back because it does not look good. And also you keep making those edits on only this page, and didn't talk about it here until the week after you started making the edits. Starbucks6789 (talk) 07:40, 10 September 2016 (UTC)
- Whether it looks awful or not is not the question, the fact it to have the black text defies the manual of style, and in each edit summary, it was included that it was made, per the MOS Wikipedia has in place. livelikemusic talk! 01:03, 11 September 2016 (UTC)

Episode tables
[edit]@Starbucks6789: Please stop reverting me, especially without giving explanations. It makes Wikipedia that much harder. The tables on the right make every much more easier to read. Whe nthey are in the middle of everything, they cut the summary in half. Chase (talk) 02:48, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
The article looks so dumb with it on the right side. It looks much better where it is right now. Why all of a sudden is everything changing all of a sudden. It looks fine how it is. Starbucks6789 (talk) 09:58, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Starbucks6789: It does not, it looks better on the right. Chase (talk) 03:01, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
Whatever I don't even care at this point. Go ahead, make all these pages look like trash I don't care. I'm just saying that it looks awful how you want it to go. No one has even agreed with you yet. Stop including me in this now since I just said I don't care what you do. Starbucks6789 (talk) 10:06, 17 September 2016 (UTC)

Recent color changes to progress table.
[edit]@Starbucks6789: Please stop reverting the color changes for the "Quit" template, the current color scheme is perfect and in-sync with the other season pages. The pinkish/red for "Quit" ties in with the "Eliminated" and "BTM2/3" template color scheme. MSMRHurricane (talk) 06:27, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
- The color should be "Dark Red". It ties in with WIllam's Disqualified and also is darker than Elim, which makes it harsher than elim. Chase (talk) 04:14, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
- I apologise for the fuss, but I do believe that the colour for contestants who quit the competition should be the pinkish/magenta colour. A few months ago I changed the colour for disqualifications from purple to brown as to fit with the colours associated with ANTM--brown for disqualifications, and pinkish/magenta (crimson) for those who quit. I have also reverted changes who state that the QUIT colour should be purple as this has already been used during Season 7 to indicate the contestants who attempted to return to the competition but failed (which will most likely occur next episode as well). Secondly, @Starbucks6789: is constantly altering Alyssa's outcomes in Season 5. Can I please have some reassurance that Alyssa was LOW in both Episodes 5 and 6 as they keep reverting my changes. Lauralimilein (talk) 07:39, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Lauralimilein: Thank you! The table atm is spot on! And yes, I agree, Alyssa was definitely considered LOW in those two episodes. MSMRHurricane (talk) 05:09, 22 September 2016 (UTC)

[edit]@Sweetie Pie 2000: Please discuss the changes you wish to make here. Chase (talk) 23:48, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
Format
[edit]Devonruuurs; The contestant progress table should only show their first name. This is how every competition show shows it, and showing their last names becomes repetitive from the contestants table. Chase (talk) 04:46, 26 September 2016 (UTC)
CCamp2013; I think that would only apply to competitions where they use their actual names plus every season shows their full drag names in the contestant progress table. Devonruuurs (talk) 06:21, 26 September 2016 (UTC)
- Devonruuurs; I am aware, however, this should be no different. They are mostly referred to their first "fake" names in the show anyways and during our summaries. We should change them all to reflect only their first name, because it is redundant otherwise. Chase (talk) 06:28, 26 September 2016 (UTC)
- CCamp2013; Devonruuurs; I think the tables are fine the way they are, with the contestants full name, seeing as that is how the tables have been structured on the other season pages. MSMRHurricane (talk) 07:24, 26 September 2016 (UTC)
- MSMRHurricane; I am aware that is how the other pages are formatted (which doesn't have any relevance to this article because this is a seperate article from those), but since ALL contestant progress tables only have their contestants first names and for sake of not having redundancy, we should only have their first names. It also looks better. Chase (talk) 20:51, 26 September 2016 (UTC)
- MSMRHurricane and Devonruuurs; For example when they use the contestant's names on the lipsticks for elimination, they don't use their full names. Because that is their common name, not their full name. Chase (talk) 20:54, 26 September 2016 (UTC)

- CCamp2013; Devonruuurs; Yeah I see what you mean. In all honesty, I do not mind either format. :) MSMRHurricane (talk) 04:15, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
The format looks awful like that. You guys are changing 1 page out of all 8 original seasons and the other all stars season. Why are you ruining this page and only this page. Seriously. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1008:B16C:D64:A033:AB5B:AD9C:28A7 (talk) 20:59, 28 September 2016 (UTC)
- The rest will be changed as well. Chase (talk) 21:04, 28 September 2016 (UTC)
But putting only the first name really doesn't look good. That is their full name and it should be on their. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1008:B16C:D64:A033:AB5B:AD9C:28A7 (talk) 21:29, 28 September 2016 (UTC)
- CCamp2013; Great job on the new formats, they looks really great :) However, I think the episode synopsis' should be edited as they reveal too much of the episode. Instead of a play-by-play, they should just set up the outline of the episode very basically. Great job tho! I'm for full support of this new look for all the other pages too. MSMRHurricane (talk) 22:58, 28 September 2016 (UTC)
- MSMRHurricane By all means, trim it down as you see fit. I am not the one who wrote it, just edited it, so I won't be offended. Chase (talk) 00:29, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
- CCamp2013; This formatting looks awful. Devonruuurs (talk) 12:40, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
- Devonruuurs;Could you instead say HOW it looks awful and not that it looks awful. That doesn't help anything. Chase (talk) 14:26, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
- CCamp2013; it seems unnecessary and too convoluted plus we're not gonna have episode descriptions for every episode so it looks ugly. I think we should continue to use the older format that the other seasons have Devonruuurs (talk) 16:18, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
- Devonruuurs; We actually will have episode descriptions for every episode. Chase (talk) 16:29, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
I feel like the progress table should have their full name. Just because every other season of other TV shows have their first name, doesn't mean this should too. It looks awful without their whole name on the table. I also do not like the episode summary. You are explaining like too much of the episode. It's a summary, not second by second description of the episode. Also you shouldn't hide the challenge winner, and prize winner and who got eliminated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.190.153.14 (talk) 22:36, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
- @68.190.153.14:; The episode summaries will be re-done to better fit a summary. I just worked with what I had, also, the challenge winner, and the prize winner and who got eliminated is not hidden, in the episode summary and on the contestant progress table, this information is shown. I wanted to remove it all together because of redundancy, but some editors preferred it. Also, because of redundancy the contestants' first name should only remain on the progress table.\, their full name is shown on the contestants table and in the show they are mainly referred to by their first name anyway. Chase (talk) 22:43, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
Actually that is false, on the show they are usually referred to their whole name, not just their first name. Just because RuPaul calls someone by only 1/2 of their name doesn't mean that you should just automatically change EVERYTHING to their first name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.190.153.14 (talk) 22:47, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
- @68.190.153.14:, On the lipsticks they have their first name and yes, they are mostly called their first name, Also per the prescendent set by WP:WikiProject Television, we will only use the first name in the progress table. Chase (talk) 22:55, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
Who cares what the lipsticks said. THIS IS 1 SEASON OUT OF 10 SEASONS. Whatever, make the page look like trash. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.190.153.14 (talk) 22:57, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
- @68.190.153.14: We are actually doing that on all the seasons. Chase (talk) 23:00, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
- @68.190.153.14: Also, per WP:SHOUT, don't use caps. Thanks. Chase (talk) 23:03, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
- I agree the Contestants Progress tables look a tad messy without the full names'. For example, BenDeLaCreme looks silly compared to everyone else's single names in her season, and RuPaul doesn't just call her BenDeLaCreme she also refers to her as DeLa most of the time? "If it's not broken don't fix it!" The tables were fine the way they were. Lauralimilein (talk) 05:33, 30 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Lauralimilein, 68.190.153.14, Devonruuurs, 2600:1008:B16C:D64:A033:AB5B:AD9C:28A7, and MSMRHurricane: I want to remind everyone, I am the one that made the table in the first place, not too long ago, so nothing was broken or not broken. So nothing is long-standing consensus. However, I am going to revert my stance on the issue. Most articles improve by only have their first name on the contestant progress table, however, going through some of the season "Acid Betty" and such had to remain, so I will support the full name. Chase (talk) 14:07, 30 September 2016 (UTC)

Can you change the Season 8 table then to the full names. You just kind of left that page out of changing it back to the full names. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.190.153.14 (talk) 18:33, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
- CCamp2013; MSMRHurricane; I still think this should have been discussed more or at least had a vote or something. This new format is was really unneeded and ugly. Having to open every tab when before it was easy just to ctrl+f and find what you want. Keep your new page where all the episodes and air dates are, but leave the actual seasons unchanged. Devonruuurs (talk) 18:02, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- CCamp2013; Devonruuurs; I personally agree, its a hassle opening the tabs, etc. The old layout is much more simple and efficient. MSMRHurricane (talk) 18:41, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- MSMRHurricane; Devonruuurs; Well by WikiProject Television standards the old way is not good and it also eliminates the "episode recap and main challenge" tabs because they don't fit the guidelines. So technically they should be removed, for 1) The episode recap is redundant, and 2) the team formations/challenge details could be explained in the summary, but other users wanted the recap and I didn't want to go through the hassle of a RfC on the WikiProject to get it removed, so I made a compromise. Chase (talk) 20:08, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- I agree, it's a hassle and it repeats information and has unnecessary information. Need a better layout. Brocicle (talk) 02:50, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- I also agree. All these superfluous changes are making it more difficult. The old format was better--just having the episode summary, a table of character roles if needed, and the overview (challenge winner, eliminated, etc). There have been too many format changes this year when the old format worked perfectly fine. For example, having a separate table for the contestants' names rather than incorporating them in the progress table. Lauralimilein (talk) 14:48, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- Brocicle; To be clear, were you agreeing that the old version was better or agreeing that the things I stated should be removed? Chase (talk) 15:18, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

- CCamp2013;To be honest I never saw the previous version as I'm relatively new to the Drag Race scene but I do agree that some parts of the new format are a hassle and should be reworked, such as the show more tabs. I feel like that sort of information can be placed in the episode recap without the tabs or somewhere else in the article. Brocicle (talk) 18:29, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

Contestants Names
[edit]Some of the contestants real names like out of drag on the all stars page are different from their original season. Example: Alyssa Edwards' name on Season 5 was Justin Johnson, on here it's Justin Dwayne Lee Johnson. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.190.153.14 (talk) 19:00, 2 October 2016 (UTC)
Page Should be partially locked
[edit]This article should be at least partially locked, people are changing the article for who they want to win. Such as currently the page states that "A Snake Named Alaska" won, and that it's called "RuPaul's Drag Race: Alaska Stars". Even if I edit it back to correct, someone else will edit it. Users should have to login to Wikipedia to make edits.

Contestants Full Names
[edit]This page should have the thing where it says what they are known on the show as. Every time I try and change it, it says it's unconstructive and has been deleted. It's on every other page. Alaska Thunderfuck 5000 is known as Alaska and Detox Icunt is known as Detox on the show should be on here. And don't delete this like someone else did before. I don't go around deleting this stuff so don't delete my stuff.
- Their full names are stated on their corresponding season from which they made their debut prior to All Stars, hence why "full names" aren't featured on the All Stars page. Although I do think they could be added as it'd be plausible to do so, it'd also be unnecessary at the same time. Also just a note, anyone is permitted to undo another's revision on an article if they are justified in doing so as long as they provide an adequate reason in the summary. Finale
[edit]Shouldn't Roxxxy Andrew's box say Eliminated in the sienna background, not the red background? Every other season says if the person did not lip sync and got eliminated, their color is sienna, not red. Someone please change that please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.190.153.14 (talk) 01:16, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, it should. Oath2order (talk) 01:21, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
Unlock
[edit]Can someone please unlock the page. If you guys are going to lock the page, then at least have it looking like its supposed to be. First of all there needs to be a thing under the progress table that has the sienna box that says contestant was eliminated without lip syncing entirely. Second, on the finale Roxxxy Andrews color for being eliminated should not be red, but sienna. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.190.153.14 (talk) 17:27, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
