Jewish[edit]

He does seem to love bacon an awful lot for a Jewish person. 24.178.63.60 18:54, 18 November 2006 (UTC) It is a very common misconception that Jewish people don't like/don't bacon/etc. Most Jewish people do not keep kosher, nor do they make an active attempt to do so. Many of these (including myself) happen to like bacon quite alot.[reply]

Merging[edit]

Why merge? Its nice that we can find individual characters from the show on their own Wiki pages.

Its easy enough to watch the series and pick up enough notes about the character to fill a page with information. Tenspeeder 12:46, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Robbery?[edit]

When I saw the wanted poster I paused it and tried to figure out what he was wanted for, because I was very interested. Does someone have evidence that it was a bank robbery? I couldn't make it out. Someone have a higher-resolution episode than I did, or a screenshot, or some proof? Kuronue 21:46, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In fact it was bank robbery. I was interested too, and paused/rewound my way around until I actually saw it myself. B alasdair (talk) 20:26, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Questionable facts[edit]

"He...is originally from New Jersey, and is of Jewish heritage." Where in the show does it metion these things? Stormin' Foreman 16:38, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure this comes from "Death Defying" (ep 2.10) on his daughter's birth certificate. Don't remember it mentioning he was jewish, but it did say his wife was Czechoslovakian. B alasdair (talk) 20:28, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also in the series finale he puts stones on his daughter's and his wife's grave. Isn't that a typical Jewis tradition? Villy (talk) 21:56, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

definite age[edit]

In the episode "Death Defying" he is listed as being 49 at the time of his daughter's birth in 1925, meaning he is definitely either 49 or 50. Not exact, but better than late 40 - early 50's B alasdair (talk) 20:24, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Call me confused, but in "Always", when he sings to Rosie, she's old enough to talk! This was portrayed (with the lighting, etc) as a flashback to when he was alive. So I would assume he was in his 50's when he died, but since it seems there is conflicting information in the series I think the best thing would be to let it stand as is. - 71.93.160.36 (talk) 19:32, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Year of Death[edit]

In the episode "Always," after hearing of Mason's lost bet with Penny over the year Rube died, George offers the answer 1927 with confidence (saying that she would win the bet). 64.191.188.187 (talk) 04:22, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
