Spoiler in Date[edit]

If the entirety of the plot summary is under a spoiler warning header, then surely the revelation that the book takes place in 1990 rather than 1830 (the major plot twist) should also be under the spoiler warning as well? I replaced "takes place in the 1990s" with "takes place in an 1830s village" which is technically accurate (as it is an 1830s-style village) while not revealing the plot twist. --Walkersam 19:23, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dystopia?[edit]

Why is this listed under list of dystopian literature? The book doesn't really seem to fit under thsi category.

I concur. Move to eliminate the reference. Also, the opening line incorrectly listed the protagonist as possessing down syndromn. I recall no such trait, and removed the line. -Thucydides

Grammar[edit]

The plot summary grammar needs to be updated and redone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.49.154.25 (talk) 07:59, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Village[edit]

As "The Village" was created long after this book, I've changed the wording in the Plot summary section to read that "The Village"'s plot is similar to that of Running Out of Time, not the other way around. --Walkersam 20:46, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Film??[edit]

If the film has nothing to do with the book besides the name, it should have its own article. It's completely unrelated to the storyline of the book... Creamypeanutbutter 10:09, 27 October 2007 (UTC) Post Edit:I've never even heard of such a movie.. If it's supposed to come out next week, shouldn't there be advertisements on TV? I can't even find it in IMDB, I think the entire "film" section is false information/vandalism. Creamypeanutbutter 10:14, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:RunningOutofTime.jpg[edit]

Image:RunningOutofTime.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Add a character section[edit]

Could we be able to add a character section to this article with the characters listed a short description of them? Most other novels have a character section and I definitely think it would benefit the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.109.223.59 (talk) 22:45, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It depends what could be said about each character. I'm not familiar with the book, but see the page and maybe it could take some heat away from the plagiarism allegation, for sure. I want that to stay in, because it has a source that seems credible enough. Also, just ask yourself the following questions: how many characters actually matter? Can I say at least three sentences on each of them that set them apart from one another, and why does it help the article? If you can answer those questions, go for it. I haven't edited many novels, but do you need any specific source, other than the book, that justify the addition? A lot of 'universes' have their own wikis (Warhammer, Harry Potter, etc (terrible juxtaposition, yeah, I know)). If so, that might be good to link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Complete turing (talkcontribs) 22:56, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
