Call for help from Belarussian / Russian editors to expand article

[edit]

There was a request to delete this article. I totally disagree. Ruslan Alekhno represented Belarus during the Eurovision Song Contest, although he didn't qualify to the finals as his semi-final performance didn't bring enough votes. However representing a country in an international competition means he is a very notable artist with huge information on Belorussian Wikipedia already existing there. Belarussian Wikipedia page on Ruslan Alekhno. Instead of suggesting deletion, we can invite Belorussian / Russian editors to help in adding info and expanding English Wikipedia article. I have removed the deletion note, But in order to avoid this happening a second time, we need a Belorussian / Russian interested editor to introduce some of the materials in English Wikipedia. PS I am inserting here the official Alekhno site: http://www.alehno.ru/ and particularly the biography page http://www.alehno.ru/text/bio/ and the discography page http://www.alehno.ru/music/ Although not a primary source, but materials from it can be used to build up a better informed page. Again the website is in Russian or Belorussian so we need the help of editors who know the language werldwayd (talk) 06:42, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
