Russell Hill born in Forbes NSW on 27th May 1972, he attended Forbes Primary School and Forbes High School.
In 1990, he signed his first contract to play in the Winfield Cup with Western Suburbs Magpies at Campbelltown.
Russell was set for a life in rugby league after having a massive high during the seasons 1990-1992, but unfortunately he’s career was cut short after suffering he’s first knee reconstruction, in 1993, which was soon followed with 3 more knee operations during 1994, 1996 & 1997
