More Resources/Info
[edit]As a supporter of Conservation International, I would like interested readers to have access to more of the expansive work and academic resources Mr. Mittermeier has completed in the field of conservation. I’m hoping that an active editor in Wikipedia could assist in building this out at least the to the level of Sylvia Earle, a comparable scientist in a different field.
Items of note I found through some cursory research:
http://www.conservation.org/newsroom/experts/Pages/mittermeier.aspx · Areas of expertise: biodiversity in Madagascar and South America, primates, reptiles
Also, it appears as though the list of publications is rather short and incomplete, I found the following titles via Amazon: · http://www.amazon.com/Ecology-Behavior-Neotropical-Primates-Volume/dp/B000P9FPGA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1396901965&sr=8-2&keywords=ecology+and+behavior+of+neotropical+primates · http://www.amazon.com/Conserving-Biological-Diversity-Jeffrey-McNeely/dp/0915825422/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396902006&sr=8-1&keywords=Conserving+the+World%E2%80%99s+Biological+Diversity · http://www.amazon.com/Conserving-Biological-Diversity-Jeffrey-McNeely/dp/0915825422/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396902006&sr=8-1&keywords=Conserving+the+World%E2%80%99s+Biological+Diversity · http://www.amazon.com/Megadiversity-Earths-Biologically-Wealthiest-Nations/dp/9686397507/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396902056&sr=8-1&keywords=megadiversity+-+earth%27s+biologically+wealthiest+nations · http://www.amazon.com/Hotspots-Revisited-Biologically-Endangered-Terrestrial/dp/9686397779/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396902079&sr=8-1&keywords=Hotspots%3A+Earth%E2%80%99s+Biologically+Richest+and+Most+Endangered+Terrestrial+Ecosystems · http://www.amazon.com/Wilderness-Earths-Last-Wild-Places/dp/9686397698/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396902103&sr=8-1&keywords=Wilderness%3A+Earth%E2%80%99s+Last+Wild+Places · http://www.amazon.com/Wildlife-Spectacles-Russell-A-Mittermeier/dp/9686397728/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396902115&sr=8-1&keywords=Wildlife+Spectacles · http://www.amazon.com/Hotspots-Revisited-Biologically-Endangered-Terrestrial/dp/9686397779/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396902128&sr=8-1&keywords=Earth%E2%80%99s+Most+Biologically+Richest+and+Most+Threatened+Ecoregions · http://www.amazon.com/Pantanal-South-Americas-Wetland-Jewel/dp/1554070902/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396902141&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=Pantanal%3A+South+America%E2%80%99s+Wetland+Jewel · http://www.amazon.com/Lemurs-Madagascar-Conservation-International-Tropical/dp/1881173089/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396902183&sr=8-1&keywords=Lemurs+of+Madagascar · http://www.amazon.com/Climate-For-Life-Challenge-Conservation/dp/0981832105/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396902225&sr=8-1&keywords=A+Climate+for+Life%3A+Meeting+the+Global+Challenge · http://www.amazon.com/The-Wealth-Nature-Biodiversity-Conservation/dp/0984168605/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396902238&sr=8-1&keywords=The+Wealth+of+Nature%3A+Ecosystems%2C+Biodiversity+and+Human+Well-being · http://www.amazon.com/Handbook-Mammals-World-Primates/dp/8496553892/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396902250&sr=8-1&keywords=Handbook+of+the+Mammals+of+the+World · http://www.amazon.com/Fresh-Water-Essence-Conservation-Series/dp/0984168621/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396902266&sr=8-1&keywords=Fresh+Water%3A+The+Essence+of+Life · http://www.amazon.com/ECOLOGY-BEHAVIOR-NEOTROPICAL-PRIMATES-VOLUME/dp/B002MK4L4C/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1396900842&sr=8-3&keywords=ecology+and+behavior+of+neotropical+primates · http://www.amazon.com/INTERNATIONAL-PRIMATE-LEGISLATION-CAPTIVE-BREEDING/dp/B000WQ4PZS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396900893&sr=8-1&keywords=the+international+primate+trade

I’d be happy to go through and work on this article, but as I’m a supporter of CI, I don’t want it flagged as a COI.
I have, however, started an infobox to at least organize the page and was careful to NOT use any information that wasn’t already present in the article. --Laveaux (talk) 22:18, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
