Infobox
  • There's really no need for references being used the infobox. I know for genres, a lot of IP and registered users vandalize it, so what I suggest you do is add a note saying that the source is in the "Background and composition" section. That's something I personally find useful. You don't necessarily have to do this, just a suggestion. But remove the reference for the label, as it is sourced throughout the article.

Lead
  • "Russian Roulette" is a song by Barbadian recording artist Rihanna... → No real need to link Barbadian.
  • The song premiered on radio stations on October 20, 2009 and was released as the album's lead single on October 30, 2009 in Europe and November 3, 2009 in the United States, through Def Jam Recordings. → A bit too messy, don't you think? One date should be listed in the lead, and that would be the first. That's what the release history is for.
  • Its composition is set in common time, with a slow tempo of 80 beats per minute. → Is this really lead material? I don't think I've ever seen this is a lead before. Doesn't seem that important.
  • The song has a strong chorus with a bridge, which is supported by power vocals. → Not sure if this too important for the lead either. I'd suggest maybe a bit or rewording of reworking, or just removing it all together. Maybe add some information about the genre of the song?
  • ...many of them... → with many
  • ...and choice of lyrics... → since she didn't write the song, what about "and the song's lyrics".

Background and composition
  • On October 14, 2009, Rihanna posted a background image with a black metal "R" along with a message saying "The Wait is Ova" on her official website. → I doubt that Rihanna posted the image herself.
  • It was speculated that the message would be a name of a new single or album. → Speculation rose among fans that "The Wait Is Ova" would either be the name of a new single or the then-upcoming album.
  • Two days later, a countdown timer was also added to the image and was marked to end on October 20, 2009. → Two days later, a countdown timer appeared alongside the image, and was scheduled to end on October 20, 2009.
  • Can't more be added to the background bit of it? It seems a bit small. Is there any recording information that could be added? I'll continue the review once this is fixed up. Also, "The song fits the genres of..." should start with a new paragraph.

  • You could also probably just note in there where the song was recorded and by whom. And wasn't it the last song recorded? That could be noted as well.
