EU directive

[edit]

EU directives no longer apply to the UK, so this is complete wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.240.248.160 (talk) 18:29, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Water extraction at Tinwell?

[edit]

The article states:

"Most of the stored water is extracted from the River Welland at grid reference TF017060, between Tinwell and Stamford ..."

How can that be? Tinwell is upstream of where the Gwash joins the Welland? quota (talk) 07:39, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

While the Gwash flows into (and out of) the reservoir, most of the water is pumped from the Welland and Nene rivers. --Ned de Rotelande 09:00, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

article

[edit]

Hi folks,

I have written an article about Fishing at Rutland and I was wondering if I could add it to the external links section of this Wiki.

http://www.keep-fishing.com/fishing-at-rutland/

I hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks! :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.171.9.218 (talk) 17:39, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Surface area

[edit]

The surface area is currently given as 10.86 sq km. However the surface area for Kielder Water is also given as 10.86 sq km and that article says Rutland Water has a bigger surface area. I believe the area given on this page is the one that is incorrect. https://anglianwaterparks.co.uk/rutland-water says Rutland Water has a surface area of 4200 acres which equals 17.0 sq km or 6.56 sq miles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FJLeeper (talkcontribs) 14:17, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
