White not black[edit]

No matter what the attention-seeking author says, her Hermione is a white, pale woman, not a black woman with frizzy black hair. Having a "white face" does in fact render you caucasian, as people with high does of melanin in their skin (a black woman) would retain the colour in the skin. Numerous mentions also say "pink in the face" or like a "half a panda" when bruised. Mentioning fan art is totally pointless and misleading, as it holds no canonical weight. However, all official illustrations of Hermione in HP media depict her as white (including Rowling's own). She also clearly isn't oriental either. 2.98.183.194 (talk) 09:25, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's important to recognize that artistic interpretation allows for diverse representations of characters. While the author's vision may be influential, individual readers may form their own mental images. Embracing various interpretations enriches the narrative experience and fosters inclusivity within the fan community. Ultimately, the essence of Hermione's character transcends physical attributes, emphasizing her intelligence, courage, and loyalty, which remain universal regardless of visual depictions. Should a list of Hermione's relatives be included in the template?[edit]

Hi! I have noticed that in pages like Ron Weasley and Ginny Weasley, a full list of their relatives is included in the template. I tried to add a list to Hermione's template, but the edit was reverted. Do you guys think Hermione's template should have a list of relatives? Thanks! @HeyElliott @Facu-el Millo @Osh33m @Ernsanchez00 I've seen you guys edit on this page; what do you say about this matter? Don't feel pressured to respond if you don't want to. CallieCrewmanAuthor (talk) 21:12, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The reversion was correct. We are meant to include relevant relationships, not all relationships we can name, and we must also try to be concise if we can. Hermione is married with Ron for the epilogue only and her "in-law" relationship with all the Weasleys isn't depicted in the films or books. Besides, this is all implied already by including Ron as her husband. Those other articles you bring up, Ron Weasley and Ginny Weasley, also have too many unnecessary relationships, such as including James and Lily Potter as Ginnys' father and mother-in-law when they died before she was even born. I wouldn't include their nephews and nieces either for similar reasons. The only one of these in-law family relationships I would keep is maybe Harry as Ron's brother-in-law as that plays a more relevant role in the later books and films. For Hermione, only the husband and children is enough. The only reason Ron and Ginny include so many family members is because they have a lot of siblings. —El Millo (talk) 17:35, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In this page you must change Hermione Granger's spouse to Harry Potter because the author J.K Rowling said that she made a mistake and this must change.

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Charliehdb (talk) 17:46, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
