Borea or Boreas?[edit]

According to the clubs website, the name is Borea, not Boreas!EA210269 (talk) 22:11, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I seem to recall the club was having some sort of trouble getting approval for their name change. It looks like the club is indeed now Borea. Up-to-date information is available in the German wiki that hasn't made it as far as the English page yet. Wiggy! (talk) 23:32, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, the club did have problems getting the Saxon FA to agree to the name change. There is an industrial company in Dresden by the name of Boreas, and as it is illegal for football clubs to use company names in their names (unlike Austria), the FA resisted the initial change towards Boreas, but told the club they would agree to an alternative that fulfilled the legal requirements. Hence the club changed to Borea recently. Somebody could move the article accordingly and change it in the various templates floating around. --Madcynic (talk) 20:08, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
