I just read a good article about the X2's tilting mechanism at the web site idg.se. You who edit or read this Wikipedia article might be interested in that article. Proposed merge with X 2000[edit]

Same train but with two different article names? Worth merging X 2000 into SJ X2 as it is a more commonly used name. Nightfury 08:40, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'll start by saying I know very little about Swedish railways, but the one thing I'd check before merging is if X 2000 was intended as a explanation of the high speed rail brand (amenities, stations/lines served) and SJ X2 is about a specific trainset used for X 2000 services. x2000 is the common name everyone knows for the x2 train since it's the name SJ promoted throughout the years. X2 is the actual name of the train, and the x2000 article definitely isn't about the brand itself at the moment. I'm not a wikipedia editor, but I do know a bit about trains. I'd say merge the 2 articles into X2, and then write that article about the brand x2000 (linking to x2 since most people call it x2000).194.71.5.132 (talk) 09:06, 9 December 2019 (UTC)Thobias[reply]

WP:COMMONNAME suggests that we should use the name that the train is best known by, regardless of whether this is the official name or not.
