Refs look good, maybe find a website to back up the sources (not necessary) for people who don't have access to the books. Either that, or link to the books in Google Books.

"Dresden was among the ships interned, but owing to her poor condition following the naval mutiny, she was not able to steam with the rest of the fleet in November. She arrived on 6 December, leaking badly." Possibly explain why the British let her stay until December, who paid for/did the repairs on her (I'm assuming she needed some to make the crossing).
- Because she simply couldn't steam with the fleet :p Woodward and van der Vat don't say anything more specific about repairs than that the crew made the ship seaworthy again. Parsecboy (talk) 18:47, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

SMS Dresden wreck[edit]

Hi

I edited this article last night to say that the Dresden remains at Scapa Flow as feel it incorrectly states that the Dresden did not sink but was rather beached and broken up for scrap. The original editor has changed the article back stating that Dresden did not sink and that I dont know what I'm talking about.

As I dive this wreck on a fairly regular basis, I'd like to provide some evidence as to why I feel she did sink and remains at the bottom of Scapa Flow.

1/ The wreck of the Dresden in Scapa Flow is listed by the maritime and coastguard agency as a protected wreck, see link link

2/ The wikipedia entry for Scapa flow lists the Dresden as one of the remaining 7 German wrecks. [[1]]

3/ The wikipedia entry for The scuttle of the German fleet lists the Dresden sinking at 13.50 and being partly salvaged. [[2]]

4/ The wreck of the Dresden was surveyed recently using sidescan sonar. link link

5/ The article is catagorised under "Wreck diving sites in the United Kingdom", why would this be so if the Dresden did not sink?

I think the article should be amended as I tried to do so yesterday.
