Why did you remove Lay Zhang profile from exo band's main information page (as a musician) Don't you know he is still in the group Please put his profile back as a exo member in the group information page with his fellow members — Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.56.96.164 (talk) 22:57, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

2003 Winter SM Town[edit]

Why isn't the 2003 Winter SM Town Album (with Snow Flake) included in here? Small5th (talk) 15:23, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of members[edit]

Why did we need a full list of members? It's basically every SM artist, it would be redundant to maintain. 02:34, 24 May 2018 (UTC)

We don't need it. SM Town is literally the name given to every person signed to SM similar to YG Family or JYP nation. The list of members and associated acts just isn't needed at all. The lead section literally states it is an 'umbrella name' for all artists signed to SM. I’d say it can all easily be removed, and if the original editor disagrees they can come get a consensus for the changes they want. Alexanderlee (talk) 07:05, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, it's unnecessary and should be removed. Random86 (talk) 18:09, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Worse, the associated acts are just their groups. An associated act isn't a subset of themselves, that's just dumb. I'll remove it and let the OP come back here for consensus. Evaders99 (talk) 20:17, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well SMTown IS a musical act, therefore it DOES have members. Therefore, it SHOULD be listed.-K-popguardian (talk) 01:18, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Listing everyone would be like listing everyone who participated in Band Aid it just isn’t needed. Alexanderlee (talk) 02:07, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Everyone who participated in Band Aid is listed though.-K-popguardian (talk) 22:37, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Except, they’re listed in the “participants” section, not in the information box which you made way too long by adding everyone. This article has a members section which already links to the list of SM artists on the SM article, and that is enough Alexanderlee (talk) 22:54, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

SM TownSMTOWN – In the Korean media and news, along with its agency SM Entertainment, its used as SMTOWN not merely for styling but its own registered trademark, that includes all its component articles with SM Town here on Wikipedia ReVeluv02 (talk) 11:14, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose SMTOWN is a trademark and MOS:TMRULES says Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization practices, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official". (An exception would be if the trademark were an acronym but this isn't.) Also WP:TITLEFORMAT says Titles are written in sentence case.. On both these grounds and the fact that SM Town is equivalent in meaning to "The group of artists who are affiliated to SM entertainment" makes the current title perfectly acceptable. The redirect is already in place. Mike Turnbull (talk) 16:27, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per above. 162 etc. (talk) 18:00, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose for the same reasons outlined above. Alex (talk) 20:44, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
