adding image

[edit]

Hi, I was very pleased to find this page and I am happy to add a small contribution. It is a scan of an officer's uniform button. I guess it is one of only a few objects directly related to this ship. I have uploaded it in Wikimedia Commons "SS City of Glasgow.jpg", but I think I am not yet entitled to add it to this page. Can I have assistance? Btns (talk) 21:42, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Loss

[edit]

Online sources give conflicting dates, some January, others March. How can this be confirmed? January seems suspicious - how common was it for journeys like this to be made in mid-winter? Danceswithzerglings (talk) 06:23, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if that was unusual by the 1850's, but write a paragraph comparing the different dates. 65.41.106.90 (talk) 17:13, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
