No longer the largest traditional sailing ship[edit]

How can this be "the world's largest sailing ship"? The Royal Clipper is longer (134.8m vs 117.5m) and has a significantly larger displacement (5,000 tonnes vs 3,500 tonnes). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.125.18.247 (talk • contribs) 01:08, 12 December 2006

Well, it states in the article that the length of the ship is 108.7 m, but all the reference sources in the article states that its length is 117.5 m. 85.30.220.73 (talk) 16:47, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why is this a barque? The photo looks like the mizzen is square rigged up to either upper & lower topgallant, or to royal, and down to course? Junior9077 (talk)

@Junior9077: Check out the definition of a barque on the Wikipedia page here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barque A barque is a vessel that has three or more masts, the foremast and mainmast (and possibly others) are square rigged, while the mizzen is rigged fore-and-aft. Look at photos of the Sedov under sail and you'll see that's exactly how she is rigged. Cadar (talk) 11:10, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
