This is the English Wikipedia, and according to the policy of WP:COMMONNAME and Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English), this article does not use the subject's name as it might be spelled in Slovenian (with diacritics) as its article title; it instead uses the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources. Kovačevič is evidently the correct name, per the Kovačevič surname article, though naturally per WP:MOSPN#Diacritics the results for Kovačevič in Google Scholar throw out Slovenian scientists not ice-hockey players. There a move to WP:CONSISTENCY with all the other Kovačevičs should not be controversial (I really and sincerely believe that it should not be).
