Serious problems with reliability of sources and factual accuracy[edit]

There is no actual evidence other than very speculative news reports that these girls are dead or that any of the lurid rumours peddled in the media are correct.

The fact is that according to Islamic shariah law which IS follows, a Muslim woman, which these girls were, cannot be enslaved, and of course, killing a Muslim is not allowed. So it is virtually impossible that is actually what happened.

These girls were married, not slaves, and there is no evidence they are dead.

Perhaps also the page should be deleted due to lack of notability? There is nothing to distinguish these girls from the hundreds or thousands of Western European women who have emigrated to IS.

This all a load of bullcrap. Since when does ISIS give a crap about what Islam actually says/wants?★Trekker (talk) 15:20, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"killing a Muslim is not allowed" What, then who have they been killing this entire time? Oh right anyone that a Muslim perceives as an infidel. Retaliatory behavior is always allowed in islam, and women are substandard citizens with limited rules protecting them. If their husbands actually were dead they were the societal equivalent of a masterless dog. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.98.195.236 (talk) 15:36, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources[edit]

Here are a set of more-reliable sources that I located on a very cursory search when I removed the prod tag. Editors working on this article could use these for referencing. Montanabw(talk) 21:25, 29 July 2016 (UTC):[reply]

Note: "Don't look for us. We will serve Allah and we will die for him."[edit]

German and Austrian sources state that the girls' note to their parents said something else:

Wir sind auf dem richtigen Weg. Wir gehen nach Syrien, kämpfen für den Islam. Wir sehen uns im Paradies.

Literal translation (by me):

"We're on the right path. We're going to Syria to fight for Islam. See you in paradise."

There are plenty of reliable German-language sources with that quote. Among them:
