  • This seems extremely unlikely, as even her self-described mesaurements, garnered from the IMDB, are listed as 41-22-36. Forgive me my ignorance, but I was under the impression that a WHR of .47 would suggest a hip measurement more than twice as great as the waist measurement.
A common misconception and do not believe all you read at IMDB (anybody can edit there and there are no references) Sabrina did not self-describe...those measurements are taken from a 1950s glamour mag and were invented by the editor, made worse by her publicist wishing to enhance the wow factor of her bust measurement and juggling with the inches. The chest measurement should be of the ribcage under the breasts. Then the difference between the ribcage measurement and the over bust measurement will equate to the bra cup size. Sabrina had a ribcage measurement of 32". Judging by contemporary photographs Sabrina was not much bigger than a UK E cup so I would take the claim of 41 with a small pinch of salt.... 38" would be more believable. She also claimed a waist size of 17" and many of the photographs kind of support that, although partially enhanced by corsets. Having examined a great deal of her photos ranging over career (what a chore?), my practiced eyes reckon in reality she was close to 32E-19-36 which if accurate would give a WHR of .53 in her younger years....but she did fill out later in her career on advice from modelling agents.
Do you want to do a WHR calculation from this photo? http://nylon.net/sabrina/y/sihh/sab-sihh-lpjacket-colour.jpg21stCenturyGreenstuff (talk) 23:49, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Indeed, when I saw the numbers, I reckoned that seeking out som photos were in order (as this person was unfamiliar to me) to find out if there was any truth to them. And with today's glamour model standards (with a typical WHR of perhaps 0.67 to 0.73), her anatomy really doesn't appear that extreme as the numbers would suggest: natural waist no less than 55 cm, bust no more than 100 cm and WHR no less than 0.65 – and that's being generous. Consider that with a reported waist measurement of 22 in (56 cm) and hips of 40 in (102 cm) Angel Melaku (photo) has a WHR of 0.55; or that Rachel Aldana (photo, German language TV clip) has a bust measurement of 107 cm (42 in). And note also that according to Russ Meyer, Anita Ekberg's bust size was greater than Sabrina's – both of whom he had photographed. --Anshelm '77 (talk) 22:54, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cultural references

Further to the Hancock/Scandal Magazine reference. Sabrina is also referred to in 3.3 'The Bequest' (1955) where she is one of the unsuccessful candidates to marry Hancock on condition of receiving £40,000 as a reward. Guyal of Sfere (talk) 20:52, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Back in the early Sixties, I heard of a section of the Antarctic nicknamed ‘the Sabrina Coast’ because it had ‘so many curves’. Ha ha ha. 2001:44B8:3102:BB00:C0F8:31CF:D70A:CB77 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:53, 23 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
