Inconsistencies[edit]

The tale speaks of an "Old Dutch" folktale, which is impossible since Old Dutch was long gone by the 16th century. However, the themes of the story definitely show pre-Christian elements. In fact, I think it wouldn't be a stretch to say the tale or its foundations are far older than the city of Saeftinghe. I remember hearing a similar tale about a completely different place.

Also, why is this article part of Project Belgium and not Project Netherlands? Bataaf van Oranje (Prinsgezinde) (talk) 11:58, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
