Love City

Is this really the nickname or is it vandalism? Never heard it called that. MartinezMD (talk) 08:46, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

On a recent trip there, I did hear it called "Love City" by a local. Could not source it though, but if I had to vote, I'd say it is a nickname, not vandalism. Hope that helps. I'm new here. --Laughing14 (talk) 14:18, 2 February 2013 (UTC)

Namesake?

Does anybody know which Saint John the island was named after? As the companion island is St. Thomas, then the Apostle makes sense, but I could not find a source. Of course, there are dozens of Saint Johns. — Eoghanacht talk 13:32, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

Much of the content about Saint John is unsourced, but it is nearly verbatim from the web page of "Estate Lindholm."[1] A private lodging establishment is generally not considered a Reliable Source, and this was not cited, making it a copyright violation. Editors should find other sources for material on the island and its history. As a government entity, National Park Service descriptions of the National Park and its history should have considerable material.Parkwells (talk) 14:47, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
