St Michael's ley Line is in England - Line Shown is a different line[edit]

The Saint Michael's line is in England and not this line. I think this one may be termed The Apollo Line. How come the authors don't know this? Millions do. BirdWithBranch (talk) 13:24, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The article explicitly says, The term is also used to refer to a similar alignment of sites linked to Saint Michael in the UK.

Of course, this is all fantasy, but it seems this fantasy line is more popular than the English one. --Hob Gadling (talk) 16:33, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Query refutation of sunset claim[edit]

The article states: There are claims that the line perfectly aligns with the sunset on the day of the Northern Hemisphere’s Summer Solstice (however, sunrise/sunset maps show this to be incorrect ).

The source given is a day and night world map, which provides the zenith position of the sun at any given time, not the sunrise or sunset alignment. The zenith position at sunset from Haifa (near Carmel) at the summer solstice is just east of the Bahamas. This places sun in a south of west position from Haifa; whereas we know that, in the northern hemisphere, sunset at the solstice is always north of west. I expect this can be explained by the curvature of the earth.

The sunset claim actually does stand up to scrutiny, as evidenced by [1]SunCalc, although it is more likely to be a happy coincidence, and the whole thing better understood as an example of selective attention. 2A00:23C7:C401:1:A9C0:4783:38AD:56E6 (talk) 12:04, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
