Sainthal is also pronounced as sethal, senthal or saithal. the oldest archelogical structure in sainthal is a Mazar of sufi st. Chiragh Ali Shah which dates back to some three hundred years . sainthal has produced many noted scholors of international repute in the field of theology the most noted name is that of Maulana Mohammad Haider who was titled Sher-e-Tabligh ( meaning the Lion of Preaching). He was a missionary who spread the message of true Islam from the perspective of Ahl ul Bait and Karbala's martyr Imam Husain. Presently the most well known name from Saithal is that of Dr. Sarkar Haider, a senior cardiologist and Pacemaker expert who is inter-nationally acclaimed for his work . started the pace maker service for the first time in western U.P, Kumaon, Gharhwal & Nepal in a geographical area of about 300,000 sq. kilometers. He is also a prolific writer, poet, social philosopher and politician . His wife Dr. Shagufta Yasmeen herself a legendry topper from Aligarh Muslim University ( A.M.U) is a noteworthy name in politics of Rohilkhand.
