Sgt Jesse Owens

[edit]

Is there any proof the Jesse Owens performed any military in WW II. He was very bitter that Roosevelt did not invite him to the White House after the 1936 Olympics. And, really, front line combat service in 1945? He was getting a little long in the tooth for tht,Seki1949 (talk) 04:48, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's interesting that you bring this up. I'm not sure why the character's name was linked to the athlete Jesse Owens. I didn't find a source about the movie that suggests it's the same person. You're also right about his lack of military combat. I went ahead and removed the wikilink since there is nothing in the page that suggests there is any correlation between the two besides the name.Skyes(BYU) (talk) 17:00, 29 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
