Article image
For the past few months, several users have been attempting to change the article image into an outdated or copyright image due to the fact that they find this image "ugly" or "unflattering." I requested page protection and administrator intervention, but both were rejected. I'm not quite sure what we can do to solve this. lullabying (talk) 17:50, 21 November 2019 (UTC)
- So far none of the IP editors have even bothered to explain their change other than saying the previous image is unflattering. It’s a fairly recent image, good quality, and clearly shows her face. The two that I’ve seen the image be changed to are full body, making her face smaller to see and one of them didn’t show her face at all. Unless there are any other recent photos of good quality with a clear view of her face then there’s no reason for it to be changed. Alex (talk) 14:39, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
- I have repeatedly left messages on the IP and in edit summaries asking them to state their rationale but was ignored. All they're really doing is changing the image without a word. lullabying (talk) 16:43, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
- The same IP has also been vandalizing the 2019 image (1) (2) at Wikimedia commons. lullabying (talk) 16:46, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Alexanderlee: Looks like the article is unlocked. What image are we changing it to, and should we leave it like this? IP has made no attempt to discuss. lullabying (talk) 00:06, 26 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Lullabying: I have no arguments against restoring the previous image. It’s clear and shows her face better than a full-length photo. As you said, they’ve made no attempt of engaging discussion or providing a valid reason to change it other than their personal dislike of the image. Perhaps a note requesting valid reason for changing the image, or a discussion before changing. Alex (talk) 00:36, 26 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Alexanderlee: Then I'll just change it back with a link to this current discussion on the talk page? Is that good? lullabying (talk) 00:40, 26 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Lullabying: seems good to me. Alex (talk) 01:21, 26 November 2019 (UTC)
- The IP had slipped in the baseball one again right before it went up for page protection so I restored the Music Bank / April 2019 that has a head shot. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:32, 26 November 2019 (UTC)

Image options
- https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Sakura_Miyawaki_at_Music_Bank_on_April_12,_2019.png CURRENT OPTION
- https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Miyawaki_at_Hongkong.jpg cc-by-sa since 2015, used in KO wikipedia
- https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:180510_상암_미야와키_사쿠라_(6).jpg cc-by-sa since 2018 cropped for headshot

Any other nominations? The recent ones by IP have copyright problems. These listed here do not so far. The 4th one with the orange shirt may have to be reviewed though for copyright. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 10:04, 28 November 2019 (UTC)
- I will go with option 4. Heolkpop (talk) 12:10, 28 November 2019 (UTC)
- The one in the orange shirt seems more recent and is OK to use since it came from a YouTube video with CC license. lullabying (talk) 21:06, 28 November 2019 (UTC)
Edit warring
I have locked the article for three days due to interminable edit-warring over the picture to use. There have probably also been breaches of WP:3RR, so let's stop this now. I suggest you use these three days fruitfully by discussing here which image ought to be used. Further edit-warring after the article is unlocked may result in blocks. - @Fish and karate: Sorry, I attempted to change the image before I saw this message here. The IP who has repeatedly changed the image has made no attempt to participate in the discussion. They are also vandalizing the 2019 image on Wikimedia Commons. lullabying (talk) 16:47, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Fish and karate:, I've filed RFPP again. Can you extend semi-protection on it? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:19, 28 November 2019 (UTC)

Name order
Is it possible to change the page name to "Miyawaki Sakura" instead of "Sakura Miyawaki" as this is her real name?DriesTaeymans (talk) 17:28, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
- Western order names are generally fine for Japanese personal names. The current naming is fine since she uses this order on her own Instagram. Use the form personally or professionally used by the person, if available in the English/Latin alphabet (this can include the spelling appearing on their official website or official social media profile, but do not rely on a URL when the actual text is all Japanese); WP:JTITLE Evaders99 (talk) 20:26, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
- Fair enough, thanks! DriesTaeymans (talk) 21:12, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
